Qualified staff

Optometrists

An optometrist examines eyes, tests sight and prescribes spectacles or contact lenses for those who need them. They also fit spectacles or contact lenses, give advice on visual problems and detect any ocular disease or abnormality, referring the patient to a medical practitioner if necessary.

Once qualified, optometrists can undertake further training to specialise in certain eye treatment by therapeutic drugs. Our optometrists are Malcolm Findlay, Paula Foley and Philip Hogg, and for your added peace of mind they are all registered with the General Optical Council.

Dispensing Optician

A dispensing optician advises on, fits and supplies the most appropriate spectacles after taking account of each patient's visual, lifestyle and vocational needs. Our dispensing optician, Paul Berryman, is registered with the General Optical Council, and he will be happy to advise you and assist you in relation to your requirements.

Optical assistants

Our optical assistants (Joanne Ludvigsen, Alyson McGrath and Julie Nolan) who work alongside our optometrists and who will be happy to advise you when you are choosing a frame. We also have an optical technician who fits and assembles glasses.

Whatever your requirements whether you need an eye test or are interested in designer sunglasses, ours is the only name you need to remember.
